Are you interested in submitting work to Paperlinks? Amazing! We are generally very laid back, but we do have a few guidelines:

Regarding standards for consideration:
We ask that participants have an understanding of technical issues- for example, grammar, or paneling, but we love to accept artists and writers of all skill levels and from all backgrounds!

Regarding length:
For comics you may submit a work as short as 5 pages and as long as 15 pages. For short stories we ask that your work be no shorter than 500 words and no longer than 10,000 words.

Regarding content:

  • Although each month a theme is announced this theme has no bearing on your content if you do not wish to incorperate it. Basically: anything goes!
  • We like to encourage the development of original ideas, therefore, no fanfiction or fancomics will be accepted.
  • Anything up to and including an NC-17 rating is permissable. Anything illegal is obviously out. We are also not interested in hosting anyone's pornography or snuff fantasies; there are several other archival sites for that purpose alone. Please consider if the inclusion of hard R material is artistic or simply gratuitous.

In the past year we've had some questions from artists and readers alike- here, we answer them:

"Can I work in collaboration with another artist?"
    Yes indeedy.

    "Do you allow cross-publication?
    Yes we do!

"Will you make any money of of my work / take credit for my work?"
We make no money off of this site and consequently make no money off of your work. We aim to provide a one-stop source for readers to enjoy quality work and claim no rights to anything submitted to us.

To submit your work please e-mail it to us either in an attatchment (.txt / .jpg / .gif) or in the body of the mail. We can accept images roughly 800x600 pixels in size. Depending on the nature of the work we can make exceptions on a one on one basis-- please e-mail dearpaperlinks@gmail.com!
