Simply put- Paperlinks is a nonprofit e-zine collecting narrative works from different artists and showcasing them in one place for your viewing pleasure. With each month comes a new theme and a new deadline which challenges artists and writers to complete a minimum 5 page comic or 500 word short story. We aspire to create an environment where each artist can hone their skills and learn more about their working processes in an individual way -- selfishly, it also gives us the opportunity to showcase this amazing talent for the world!

Paperlinks began as a new project/resolution for 2009- our first issue went to "print" on February 1. We aspired to set reasonable goals that would enable artists and writers to create quality work while also being challenged on a monthly basis. It was in December of '08 that Ruth Halloran first had this fever dream, and it was with the support of Rachel Millar and Hayley Hart that it came to fruition. Together these three edit and maintain the content of Paperlinks- and also pay the bills. And yet without the support of artists, friends, and family these endeavours would be meaningless- Paperlinks exists thanks to viewers like you!!

We would also like to extend a special thanks to Steven Frati for his wonderful work on designing our logo. Steven!! May a thousand suns smile upon your face.
