I would love to take this time to thank all of our members for their submissions and participation in our events! Looking back on the year, I have had a chance to re-read and enjoy all of the magnificient works that my closest friends have contributed. I have decided with this anniversary, that my turning point as a fellow artist is here. You all have given so much of yourselves to this wonderful organization, and it is my personal responsiblity to give back that same excellence. I have had the pleasure of working with many of you on little one shot projects and I'd like to take this time to share with you a chance to do more of those!
Since we have members overseas that may not have alot of time to work on comics, as well as those of us that are still in school or working full time, the one shots will be simple projects of creativity for fun!
The first one I was hoping to do would be the Mandala project. In high school, my classmates and I were to design a mandala that would describe aspects of our personality. The Mandala is actually a more spiritual or religious symbol of faith and the elements. What I had in mind when I did it was more of a personal crest. I thought that this would be an amazing way to get to know eachother. If you so choose, you can also submit an explination for your mandala, or have an artist assist in the creation of one for you.
Keep in mind too that I'm no idea machine, and I'm always happy to get ideas from all of you! If there is a project you'd like to do, let me know! That way, when the months get too busy and hectic, you can have something done that you can enjoy!
